I saw somewhere that the Ft. Myers farm is growing this healing herb cultivar of artemis annua which is great. Since I am connected to people in Uganda, Kenya, and Sudan, I would like to know if cuttings of that higher value cultivar are already established somewhere in that region. If not, can anyone advise about the seed grown varieties as far as reliable effectiveness about malaria please? Thank you.

From what I can tell on the ANAMED sites, they have (at least in the past) groups worldwide that may or may not have plants that you can requests cuttings of. They have contact information listed for groups in Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda: Worldwide - anamed. Once you click on the country group, it goes to a page with contact information (unknown how recently this was updated).

contact the catholic abbey Bengui seeds in northwest province Cameroun for the artemesia anamed. There is a native artemesia annua which grows along the humid riverbanks of the Benoue in the north province of Cameroun. We dig with a spoon or trowel and bring home the rooted seedlings to start our gardens.

Thanks to Marian. I am starting to hear from some growers of artemis annua in Tanzania etc, It will be a matter of finding the right faithful steward to get the seeds or cuttings going in the area of need such as South Kordofan, Sudan or Arua, Uganda. Please consider to pray for this project.
