I am curious if anyone has tips on the best way to train black sapote, canistel, and star fruit as a juvenile plant (0-3 years of age). Generally, in young plants like avocado and mango, to maintain the size of the tree, the terminal shoot is cut to induce a 3-4 branched structure and maintained by tip pruning over the following years.
Does this strategy apply for young black sapote, canistel, and star fruit, or do people prefer to prune/train it differently?
