Bushy type runner bean

I’m looking for a source for the bushy-type runner bean that Roland Bunch saw in Kenya, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe (page 196-197 in Restoring the Soil). Do any of you work in these countries? Any possibility of helping us get a sample packet shipped to the US? Thanks

Hi Mike

It would be helpful if you can share a picture of the bean type. I am in zimbabwe

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca, I’m sorry I don’t have a picture. There are many pictures online of the regular Runner bean (Phaselolus coccineus), but in Roland Bunch’s book “Restoring the Soil”, he specifically talks about a runner bean that is a bush-type, meaning that it doesn’t climb on other plants when intercropped with other plants.
