Many small farmers face starvation due to the virus disruption!
One possible answer is for them to grow and eat beans.
Among my SSA contacts many grow beans and cook the seeds when mature.
But far more food is produced by picking and eating the pods much earlier.
When young green bean pods are picked this induces more pods to replace them much increasing the final harvest!
