Crushed Annona seeds as potential in-ground insecticide

There are many reports and suppositions regarding the use of Annonaceous plant material for its bioactive properties. In areas around the world where Annona squamosa (Sweetsop) is grown, there is potential for using the seeds simply by crushing and admixing with mulch or calcareous soil to impart insecticidal properties against ground-dwelling pests such as root weevil larvae. Attached is a summary compiled from literature on the topic, for those who might give trial to the idea, or perhaps share their experiences with A. squamosa (or other Annonaceae) seeds.Bowditch Annona Phytochemicals 2018 October 31.pdf (69.8 KB)
