How to preserve Chaya cuttings

I just received my Chaya cuttings but we won’t be traveling to where they will be planted for a month. Does anyone have ideas? Should I root them now and then uproot them? Should I keep them as they are slightly damp in the refrigerator? Please advise

Chaya cuttings are resilient and they often travel in the mail for several weeks and are fine, so I would put them in the fridge in the newspaper they came wrapped in. You don’t need to plant them or keep them damp. Just keep them cool and dry until you leave.

Blessings,
