Please I need a novel idea on Melon seed processing

What type of melon do you have? Here at the ECHO Global Seed Bank, we have tried fermentation processes with some melons (e.g. winter melons/wax gourd) but not with others!

A recent ECHO intern who spent time in Senegal, @Grace_Brinsfield, said that the seed manager there fermented cucumber inside the fruit. Grace, could you share a bit more?

Sir, are you referring to the cracking of egusi melon for cooking? A very labor intensive process indeed. Iām interested to hear if anyone has novel ideas.
He cut hashes in the side of the cucumbers and let them sit for a few days. The gel that covers the seeds was fermented so when cut open the seeds separated easily from the pulp.
