In the new edition of Restoring the Soil, Roland Bunch makes mention of an intermittent shade technique being used in Mali. I found the description clear, but would really like to see pictures and/or pruning guides. Does anyone have pictures of this technique in use? Has anyone promoted this else where? Are there more technical guides available?
I don’t know which shade system that is but If you and to take a look at a few shade systems that I have developed you can inquire and I can send a PowerPoint to you. I don’t think you will find the systems on the internet
The intermittent shade system mentioned in the book is used by the dogon people in mali. My guess is how you pruned the gliricidia trees with Roland is what I’m after. Please do send me the PowerPoint. jaredsccs@gmail.com
