Hi all,
My name is Megan Bayha and I’ve been urban farming in New Orleans (LA) for over ten years now. My business is called Baby T-Rex Farms, and I took a wonderful seed saving class at ECHO a few years ago. Our climate is sub-tropical and as a coastal city below sea level, we are on the front lines of climate change. I’ve done lots of research over the years to be able to grow specialty crops-- specifically cut flowers-- for local sale. I would be happy to assist any urban farm projects abroad if you’re looking for help with figuring out planting calendars, suitable varieties, etc. We use organic methods and I would be happy to share what I’ve learned from lots of experimenting. Thanks for reading, and I’m so glad to be part of this forum!
