The domesticated farming of snails has come of age but in the third world it could do more than protein source to family tables, through provisions of jobs in its value chain. However, the failure rates are high and considered too risky and insecured source of income to the family. This largely due to many unknowns in farming snails domestically.

I raised snails sometime last year. It was successful though the snails really took time to grow in size. I also had a few cases of mortality. Does snails have a particular commercial feed that can be fed to it for increased growth?
