I just wanted to take a moment and highlight the benefit of having a wide diversity of fruit trees on a smallholder farm to fill out the year. Here at ECHO NARIC in Florida, USA, we have entered the cool, dry season, which tends to be a ‘slow season’ for fruit. In spite of this we still have a wide range of colors and nutrients represented.
Here is a picture of the rainbow from todays pickings. (11/4/2025)
Does anyone else have a fun array of colors from their current fruit harvests around the globe?
Clockwise: Red: Barbados Cherry, Peanut Butter Fruit, Bignay, Coffee, Gin Berry; Orange: Persimmon; Yellow: Lemon, Grapefruit, Lemon Drop Mangosteen; Green: Guinea Peanut, Papaya, Mandarin, Avocado, Finger Lime; Purple: Bunch Grapes, Muscadine Grapes; Pink: Cocoplum
