I feel like I haven’t heard a ton of discussion about Panadol, so I wanted to talk about my success and love for it as a support plant on my small homestead in Southwest Florida zone 10a. It has been a vigorous fast growing sprawling ground cover growing to about 2ft high that is very easily propagated from cuttings. I started with one plant from ECHO North America’s nursery a little over a year ago and have been using it as ground cover under newly planted fruit trees, in food forest rows, and even around the house landscape area as it is a very attractive plant. I’ve propagated at least 50+ other plants from that original plant since then. It has thrived in rich soil or poor soil, full sun to part shade, loose or compact soil. I honestly have yet to find a spot that it doesn’t do well in. If it starts to sprawl somewhere undesired or I want to remove it, it is very shallow rooted and easily removed. I am now cutting the leafy tops of it and using it as a mulch around my annual garden, as I have an abundance of it now. I use it as chop&drop material in my food forest rows as well. It can also be made into an herbal tea.
I just wanted to share my success with it in hopes others could utilize it in the same way as well.
