I’m an intern at ECHO Florida and am doing research on value added products and secondary processing. I would appreciate hearing specific stories of anyone’s experiences in adding value to their products.
Has there been increased profit by further processing crops before sale?
What have been the drawbacks to secondary processing?
Are there technologies that have been useful in that process?
Has anyone switched from selling a primary product like peanuts to selling a secondary product like peanut butter? If so, what has been the impact of that?
