I need some assistance ID this beetle in DR eating tomato plants.

Hi David, Those are longhorned beetles but they are probably not the cause of the damage shown on the tomato. That looks more like caterpillar or rat? damage combined with possibly a fungal infection that entered through the damage on the tomato. Longhorned beetle larvae mainly eat wood and can be troublesome pests of fruit trees and bamboo.

Yes, I saw other photos that confirm tomato blight and whitefly infections highly likely to have caused the damage too.
